Twelve retiring faculty served the College for 440 years

In June, 12 faculty members and administrators will retire after decades of service to Providence College.

Together, they spent approximately 440 years teaching, conducting research, and guiding thousands of students.

The retirees (by name, title, start date, administrative titles, and roles):

  • Dr. Carl D. Baer, professor of chemistry; 1979; chair, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Dr. Roger B. Carmosino, associate professor of Spanish; 1978; chair, Department of Foreign Language Studies
