Fran Dwyer '59Fran Dwyer ’59

Residence: North Kingstown, R.I.

Career: Formerly owned Century 21 real estate company; continues to work in real estate

How did your studies at PC help you in your career and in life? “It helped in every phase of my life, in my moral and my ethical responsibilities.”

What are you looking forward to most at Reunion Weekend? “I’m looking forward to seeing some of my old pals come back. I’ve been the class agent for 52 or 53 years. The troops are getting on. They’re into their upper 70s and some in their 80s, because some were veterans who came back to school. I’m looking forward to seeing all who can make the trip.”

Residence: Westerly, R.I.

Career: Retired finance officer for the Diocese of Providence

How did your studies at PC help you in your career and in life? “It changed my life. It gave me values. I started going to morning Mass in my junior year, and I still go. I go for the grace that I believe I receive in the Eucharist and the peace that it gives me. PC helped me to have ethics and to express myself, both verbally and in writing. It helped me to problem solve, it helped me to be just. I don’t have a lot of money, but through the grace of God and through Providence College, I had a very successful professional life.”

What are you looking forward to most at Reunion Weekend? “I’m looking forward to seeing the classmates. These reunion weekends help you stay in touch with the College. We’ve got an intimate dinner for graduates and spouses at the Aurora Club on Broadway. It’s really nice, and it’s going to give us some time to spend together.”
