5 reasons why you need to be at PC this fall

100% In-Person Instruction
Providence College committed to on-campus, in-person learning for the 2020-21 academic year. This fall, instruction will be 100% in-person. We never stopped, but we’re looking forward to continuing to learn as we have for more than 100 years. See you at the seminar table!

First-Year Orientation
We’re prepared to welcome the Class of 2025 to campus this summer for a mostly in-person orientation program. Orientation has been a rite of passage and favorite memory at Providence College for 50 years! By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to take on college life alongside new friends.

Autumn in New England
Next semester, students will be fully able to enjoy the beauty of Providence in the fall. Take in the foliage around campus or take the RIPTA bus (free with student I.D.) to other locales around Providence. Enjoy WaterFire — an award-winning public art display on the river in the heart of the city and the perfect occasion for a night out in Providence. Plainly put, Providence is beautiful in any season, but especially in the fall.

Resuming Traditions
You’ll experience the famous Friar spirit of welcome at orientation, meet the whole Friar Family at Homecoming Weekend, and revel in the excitement of basketball season at Late Night Madness. And that’s to say nothing of the many little traditions — like Fran in Raymond Dining Hall greeting you by name or the 10 p.m. Sunday Mass in St. Dominic Chapel — that will color your life as a Friar.

You
Providence College is a remarkable place made so by its people. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni each bring distinctive traits and perspectives to create a community more than the sum of its parts. You’ve not only been invited to the Class of 2025 because of your stellar achievements but also because of the unique mark you will leave on this community. This fall will be extraordinary because Providence College is extraordinary. Providence College is extraordinary because of students like you.
