Anne E. Barone ’89SCE; served PC for 44 years, including as associate dean
Anne E. Barone ’89SCE, a longtime administrator and staff member at the College who advanced to become associate dean of enrollment services, died April 26, 2019.
Ms. Barone worked in various roles in her 44 years at PC. She served the School of Continuing Education from 1975-1990, including as assistant coordinator. She was named assistant registrar in 1990 and was promoted to director of registration and scheduling in the registrar’s office in 1998.
Her title changed to associate dean of enrollment services in 2007, and she continued to serve in that role until leaving the College in 2018.
Ms. Barone graduated from the SCE in 1989 with a degree in liberal studies. She was an avid Friars’ hockey fan.
She is survived by a sister, Susan Sheedy, and companion Gener Tresil.
Her life was celebrated April 30, 2019, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, Providence. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
