Dr. Aishah Scott — Black health during a pandemic

This year’s theme for Black History Month is Black health and wellness, so it’s a perfect time to talk with Dr. Aishah Scott, a historian of race and medicine jointly appointed to the Black Studies Program and the Department of Health Policy and Management. Scott’s research is on the impact of long-term healthcare disparities on the HIV/AIDS crisis in the Black community; she has expanded her focus to examine how these disparities have fueled the COVID pandemic as well.
