From: Providence, Rhode Island

Majors: Theology, Humanities

At PC: Tutor, Christie Family Tutoring Center and St. Patrick Academy. Studied abroad through the Humanities Program’s Rome Semester. Awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Grant to study 20th century existentialism and its influence on contemporary conceptions of identity. Member, Theta Alpha Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa.

What’s next: I will attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall to study for a Master of Theological Studies degree with a concentration in systematic theology. Intend to apply to Ph.D. programs in theology.

As a commuter, I felt warmly welcomed here, and I had the opportunity to form friendships with my classmates that will endure long after I graduate. PC truly opened doors for me, especially in giving me the experience of studying abroad. As a first-generation graduate and the son of Puerto Rican parents who have struggled with financial insecurity, I had never dreamed of having that opportunity. I am likewise incredibly grateful for the support and mentorship shown to me by my professors and the friars. These opportunities enabled me to navigate the challenges of collegiate life, helping me to grow during my time here and to prepare for the future.
