Building a Beloved Community: Embracing Human Dignity and Racial Justice in Catholic Teaching

Gloria Purvis is an author, commentator, and the host of The Gloria Purvis Podcast. In her talk, Purvis will explore how we are all made by God and for God, sharing equal dignity as members of the human family. She will lay the foundation for understanding Catholic Social Teaching, emphasizing how our faith calls us to support and uplift one another in the pursuit of racial justice.

The event is part of the William J. and Maryann M. Christie Distinguished Catholic Faith Lecture Series, made possible by the generosity of William J. Christie ’61, ’11Hon. and Maryann M. Christie. They are the parents of three alumni and the grandparents of two alumni.
