In Memoriam: Lois E. Auld ’85SCE & ’88G; retired graduate school assistant dean
Lois E. Auld ’85SCE & ’88G, former assistant dean of Providence College’s graduate school, died on April 28, 2020.

Born in Providence, Mrs. Auld received her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from the School of Continuing Education in 1985. Three years later, she earned a master’s degree in history from the College. She served PC for 22 years, retiring from her position with the graduate school in 1994.
Mrs. Auld had lived in Greenville, R.I., since 1962. She was a communicant of United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Hope Circle and taught Sunday school.
Mrs. Auld was the wife of the late Thomas Auld. She is survived by two sons, Andrew D. Auld ’73, who works in rink operations maintenance at Schneider Arena for the Department of Athletics, and his wife, Robin Kirkwood, and Rev. Robert S. Auld ’76 and his wife, Dianne. She also is survived by three grandchildren, a niece, and a nephew.
Her funeral service and burial were private.
