PC’s School of Business ranked as one of the “top 50 best undergraduate business schools” for third straight year

The Providence College School of Business was ranked one of the top 50 undergraduate business schools in the United States by Poets&Quants, reaching #40 on the 2022 list. The school has consistently ranked among the top schools on the list and first reached the top 50 in 2020.

Poets&Quants uses a comprehensive ranking methodology that considers admission standards, academic excellence, and employment outcomes. Results are based on school-reported data and a survey of recent graduates. This year, PC’s business school is the top ranked liberal arts institution in New England on the list.

“We deeply appreciate Poets&Quants’ continued recognition of the PC School of Business as a top 50 program in the U.S. It is a credit to our faculty and colleagues who provide PC business students with an outstanding education,” said Dr. Sylvia Maxfield, the school’s dean. “I am especially gratified to see that alumni are experiencing the value of a liberal-arts based business education in their early careers and feel so positively about their PCSB experience.”

This is the sixth year Poets&Quants has created its ranked list. PCSB earned its first ranking, #63, in 2017, ascended to #52 in 2018, and reached #41 in 2020, followed by #47 in 2021. Bloomberg Businessweek published a similar list until early 2016, when that publication stopped ranking business schools. PCSB was #61 in that survey, up from #75 in 2015.
