We talked with him about his path from segregated schools in Virginia to playing basketball for coaches Joe Mullaney ’65Hon, ’98Hon. and Dave Gavitt ’89Hon.; his work as the first black high school teacher in Pawtucket, R.I.; and the mentors at Providence College who guided his call to ministry.
