Spring 2024 Christie Lecture: The Miracles & Martyrs of la Florida
As part of the William J. and Maryann M. Christie Distinguished Catholic Faith Lecture Series, Mary Soha, M.D. presented a lecture titled, “The Miracles & Martyrs of La Florida: A Medical Doctor Tells the Story.” Soha is a medical doctor who helped postulate the cause of the first Native American saint, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, and is now working on the cause of the Florida Martyrs, an amazing and surprisingly little-known story of the Catholic Church in the United States.
