Welcome – Alumni President Kathleen McGinley ’82
Dear Friars,
I’m honored to introduce myself as the new president of the Providence College National Alumni Association. As a proud member of the Class of 1982, I’ve always held deep gratitude for the friendships, values, and experiences that shaped my time at PC. I’m thrilled to now serve in this role, helping to strengthen the bond we all share as alumni.
I’m joined in this work by our newly-elected executive vice president, Richy Kless ’74, ’78G, ’82SCE, and the members of the Alumni Council — a passionate and diverse group of volunteers who represent more than 60,000 alumni around the world. The council serves as the representative body of the Alumni Association, helping to guide engagement efforts, amplify alumni voices, and build bridges between Friars of all generations, backgrounds, and regions. Their commitment to service and connection is a testament to the enduring strength of our community.
We have embarked on a bold initiative — Beyond Limits: The Campaign for Providence College — designed to advance PC to its greatest heights. Increasing alumni engagement is paramount for us to meet our goals. Our alumni have pride — now is the time to show it! There are so many ways to tap into your Friar spirit and stay connected to our community:

- Volunteer with your regional alumni club, support initiatives like the Friars of Color Alumni Network, serve as a Class Ambassador, or help a student or fellow Friar through our career platform, FriarHub.
- Attend an event, whether on campus, in your city, or in the virtual space. Your presence helps build a strong Friar community!
- Show your support through The Fund for Providence College by making a gift to support the next generation of Friars.
- Stay in Touch: Submit a class note or update your contact information to keep our association strong and vibrant.
- Every action — big or small — helps keep Friartown thriving. I invite you to join us in this exciting chapter and continue building a legacy of pride, service, and connection.
With gratitude, and Go Friars,
Kathleen McGinley ’82
